Office Assistant / Bookkeeper


Real Projectives® seeks an Office Assistant / Bookkeeper to be an essential member of the Business Support team for our professional services firm.  A multi-faceted role, this position will engage in a variety of financial and office coordination responsibilities to ensure smooth operation of office and workplace facilities and systems. 
 

Experience You Will Gain

The Office Assistant / Bookkeeper will directly engage in providing timely bookkeeping, financial reporting, timesheet and payroll processing, reconciliations, accounts receivable and payable processing, and more.   

Bookkeeping/Accounting

  • Administer employee time tracking using online software..
  • Utilize QuickBooks and Excel to organize and record financial transactions.
  • Review and timely process accounts payables and accounts receivables.
  • Reconcile bank and credit accounts.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll in coordination with Human Resources.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analyses and reports.


Additionally, this position will ensure smooth office and facility operations.

Office / Facilities

  • Coordinate the operations of office facilities, vendor services and supplies to ensure efficient daily operations of the business.
  • Coordinate services related to business communications and information technologies (hardware, software and subscriptions) to ensure their proper functioning for employee needs.
  • Monitor and schedule the proper maintenance, service and repair of facilities, office equipment, and other business tools.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and package deliveries.
  • Track, order, maintain and replenish adequate workplace consumables and office supplies.


Qualifications We Desire

  • Earned Associate’s Degree (preferably in Accounting or Business Administration) or High School diploma with relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economic or Business Administration (preferred).
  • Minimum of three (3) years performing bookkeeping functions.
  • Minimum of one (1) year using QuickBooks® accounting software.
  • Two (2) years working for a professional services firm (preferred).
  • Experience using payroll processing software, such as ADP® and Timesheets© (preferred).


Work Location

Will be based in our Laurel, Maryland office with some level of flexibility for a hybrid work schedule.  Occasional, minimal travel within the U.S. expected.
