Human Resources Generalist 

 

Real Projectives® seeks a Human Resources Generalist (as an HR department of one) to champion our company culture in support of a rewarding work environment and positive employee experience by developing and administering effective people and human resources programs, policies, and procedures. 


Experience You Will Gain

As an essential member of our Business Support Team, you will be responsible for all human resources functions in our growing company. Responsibilities will include managing the employee life cycle: talent acquisition and onboarding, training and development, performance management, and employment separations. 

 

Corporate Culture

  • Guide activities that educate, protect, and strengthen our Company values and supporting behaviors among all current and future employees.

Employment

  • Define relevant competencies and characteristics for each job and translate them into strong job descriptions and job advertisements.
  • Engage in recruiting processes where appropriate.
  • Coordinate and execute employee onboarding processes and orientation.

Training and Development

  • Create training and development programs, including using electronic learning platforms.
  • Work with supervisors to arrange and administer each employee’s learning and development pathways.

Employment Records, Laws, and Regulations

  • Maintain employee personnel and other human resources records.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations including keeping employment law posters and notifications up to date.

Employee Relations

  • Handle inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors.

Policies and Procedures

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and advisors to update and administer company policies and human resource related procedures. 


Qualifications We Desire

  • Earned Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business administration, or related field; alternatively earned an Associate’s Degree or High School Diploma with equivalent work experience.
  • Training in employment-related laws, regulations, and best HR practices.
  • Earned HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is a plus!
  • Minimum three (3) years in general human resources, including measurable efforts focused on interviewing, onboarding, and training employees.
  • Three (3) years working in a professional services firm (preferred).


Work Location

The Human Resources Generalist will be based in our Laurel, Maryland office with some level of hybrid work flexibility.
